Julie is an actor, playwright, director, and theater teacher whose work spans Off-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway, regional theater, television, and film. She has performed with Ensemble Studio Theatre, Playwrights Realm, Ma-Yi Theater Company, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, Pittsburgh Public Theater, and numerous independent theater companies throughout New York and New England. Recent acting credits include work with Legacy Theatre, Moses Gunn/Norman Marshall Play Company, GreenStage Guilford, Drama Works Theatre, and First Church Guilford.
Her television and film credits include Law & Order, The OA, Very Sorry, and Cold Tea.
Julie holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MFA from the American Conservatory Theater.
A published playwright and poet, Julie's solo play, 77 U-Turn, was published by Next Stage Press, and her poetry collection, Church on the Screen: A Sunday Series of Pandemic Poetry, is available through Breakwater Books.
As an educator and mentor, Julie has taught and directed students of all ages through schools, theaters, libraries, and community arts organizations throughout Connecticut. She currently teaches Acting for Adults and Create Your Own Solo Show through Legacy Theatre and Shoreline Adult Education.
Julie is a member of the Guilford Poets' Guild, Connecticut Theatre Women, and Ensemble Studio Theatre. She lives in Guilford, Connecticut, with her husband Pete and their three sons, Fitz, Gracen, and Hudson.
